Mr. Patrick is the newest member to the NWT Metis Dene Development Fund team, as general manager.
He has more than 25 years of training and experience in leadership, management and funding that spans a cross section of Canada as well as the private and public sectors.
Mr. Patrick comes to Yellowknife from Inuvik, where he held the position as manager of conventions and tourism with the Town of Inuvik. His department organized the annual Inuvik Petroleum Show and was also responsible for the development and maintenance of the Town’s website.
His extensive management experience also includes three years as general manager of Western Arctic Business Development Services and four years as the director of community development for the Hamlet of Cape Dorset. He has also owned and operated a territorial limited liability company delivering local community economic development services.
Mr. Patrick began his career in Newfoundland working as branch manager of a finance company, loans officer/regional credit approver/marketing officer/trainer/inspector with a chartered bank and manager of the loan guarantee program for the Fisheries Loan Board of Newfoundland. |
